Lichen Hollow Handmade, natural, geometric, wooden jewelry. Due to the unique nature of wood, each piece will vary in color, pattern, shape, and size.

The natural beauty and strength of wood has been integral to the spirit of craftsmanship since the dawn of the human endeavor. Personally, I have always been deeply inspired by the intricacies of wood grains- their deep colors, textures, and patterns seem to have a peaceful, grounding force. Because I value these qualities, I carefully choose the wood I use for my jewelry and strive to keep my pro

cess as natural as possible. I cut each piece into a raw shape using a simple miter saw, hand sand each edge to a touchable smoothness, and finish it with organic coconut oil to enhance the color of the grain and to improve water resistance. As wood ages, the initially bright colors settle into deeper, more earthy tones. This is especially evident in woods such as African Padauk (the orange one) and Purple Heart (the really purple one). Fortunately, this change occurs gradually and can be mitigated by restricting direct exposure to UV light. I hope that you find something to love here at Lichen Hollow! Custom orders are welcome!
