I'm excited to announce I'm now offering custom work on a limited basis. This includes talismans crafted with pre-consecrated stones from previous and unreleased elections, as well as charms and amulets for devotion, protection, and ritual work.

I’m especially excited about creating pieces for personal practice and spirit dedication. I’ve had the opportunity to do this privately for myself and friends and it’s some of my favorite work to do. It's a genuine honor to be entrusted with making vessels for someone else's magical work.

I’m also offering a limited number of wholesale commissions for shops looking for exclusive designs. For more info you can visit the new custom tab on the site.

Saturnalia II is now available. Saturn is one of the patrons of this shop, and this charm honors him in his oldest and most joyful form as a god of agriculture. The design features a scythe crossed with wheat sheaves, with “Io Saturnalia” carved into the inside of the blade. It was hand-sculpted in wax and cast in solid sterling silver during the Saturnalia festival period.

Sword + Scythe is 2 years old today! On some level it feels bad to be celebrating in the face of so much destruction and hate but I am reminded destruction must always be met with creation and I’m proud of what I created and am still creating. Despite being a lifelong artist I only started making jewelry in 2023 and am completely self-taught.

I started the shop because I wanted to make jewelry that didn’t treat the trappings of witchcraft and the symbols of the occult as an aesthetic choice, but were actual real magical objects that were both beautiful and functionally powerful. I didn’t really see anyone doing this and I believe my work offers something truly unique.

Everything in my shop is made by one person.

I design and craft every piece of jewelry by hand. I do not use CAD or AI and I never will. I do all of my own astrological elections, ritual preparations, and grow or forage most of the plants I use for materia myself.

I built, designed, and run the website. I do my own graphic and logo design, all my own photography, write the descriptions, manage the shop, run my social media, pack every order, and answer every message personally.

It is slow, intentional work and it is deeply personal.

Sword + Scythe is a true labor of love. It is a magical and creative practice I have built with my own hands, one piece at a time. If you have supported my work in any way, even if it’s just a kind word or sharing a post, thank you. I’m deeply grateful for your support and I am honored to be able to do this work.

Coming Sunday Jan 11 on the Sword + Scythe 2 year anniversary, the new Saturnalia pendants. These were hand-sculpted in wax and cast during this year's Saturnalia festival period and feature a scythe crossed with wheat sheaves, with Io Saturnalia carved into the inside of the blade. They honor Saturn as both a patron of agriculture and of the shop itself along with Mars.
