At 3dfabric8 we design jewelry, ornaments and accessories for fabrication by 3d-printing in a variety of materials, including steel, precious-plated brass, silver and gold. We are located in the Caribbean twin-island nation of Trinidad & Tobago. Our designs are rooted in the unique culture of Trinidad & Tobago. This culture is a reflection of the people who came to us over the course of our histor
y – native Amerindians, Spanish and English colonists, French settlers, African slaves, Indian indentured labourers, Chinese, Arabs and many others. This melting pot simmers under a Caribbean sun. Our design intent is to create an accessible range of ornaments, accessories and wearable art that resonates with locals, visitors, the widely scattered Trini diaspora, and anyone with an interest in Trini culture who is yet to visit us. We are confident that our pieces can stand alone in this regard, but think that the fact that they are 3d printed is also pretty cool! PanIsMe
The steelpan, invented in the 1930s in Trinidad, is the only acoustic musical instrument invented in the 20th century. Steelpan (locally known as pan) is an integral part of our Carnival culture - it is the national instrument of Trinidad & Tobago and is now played and enjoyed throughout the world. Our PanIsMe collection is inspired by the steelpan and comprises a range of pendants, earrings and keyrings - with a few additional products in the pipeline. While we trust that this collection will appeal to a broad audience of steelpan enthusiasts, we really hope that our pieces will find a place in the hearts of steelpan players (pannists) all around the world. Our products are available for purchase online, through TriniThingi, for worldwide delivery.
