After a seven-year gap, India returns to the Venice Biennale with its national pavilion titled ‘Geographies of Distance: Remembering Home’, a presentation that places memory, craftsmanship, and material culture at the heart of its narrative. Bringing together Asim Waqif, Ranjani Shettar, Skarma Tashi, Alwar Balasubramaniam, and Sumakshi Singh, the pavilion's installations explore the idea of ‘home’ and its survival through architecture, landscape, and everyday materials.

Featuring alongside the National Pavilion are leading contemporary artists such as Nalini Malani, Paresh Maity, Sohrab Hura, Reena Saini Kallat, Shilpa Gupta, Anish Kapoor, Dayanita Singh, Pooja Singhal, Amar Kanwar, and Himali Singh Soin.
