Souza Reigns Supreme in our Summer Online Auction

Building on the momentum from our Spring Auctions, where works by F N Souza attracted the highest number of bids, our Summer Online Auction reaffirmed the artist's enduring appeal among collectors and his continued prominence in the art market.

A distinguished selection of works on paper and rare personal effects from F N Souza’s Studio received 531 bids (27.85% of all bids placed in the sale)—the highest total for any artist in the auction.

The artist’s easel and a pair of drawing boards (Lot 69) drew an impressive 98 bids, while three of his palettes and a painting smock (Lot 70) followed closely with 79 bids.

This enthusiastic response reflects collectors’ strong interest in objects that offer a rare and intimate connection to one of the most influential and rebellious figures of Indian modernism.
