I've loved doing beaded jewelry since I was a teenager, and as I've gotten older I've gained allot more skill(and patience!) and as a result have a lot of inspiration to share.

It's the first day of Spring!
I was inspired to design a necklace that captures both the blueness of the sky, and the sun's golden rays(things I hope we will start seeing more of soon!).
This necklace, like many other pieces before it, starts out as just a bead soup of things I think go well together, and it takes off from there ☺️

The view from my office window!

First winter snow for much of western WA, on Friday the 13 even!
It was supposed to have converted over to rain by now, actually a couple hours ago! But it has been snowing steadily since we woke up at 7:00 a.m. today. It's probably about 1 and 1/2 in deep now. And although it's been snowing all day, the snow has been slowly melting, creating a big slushy mess πŸ˜…

And here's the finished set that I made from my inspiration pile!

Beautiful lampwork glass beads mixed with now hard to find Swarovski crystals, and golden colored accents. The earrings are a wonderful accent to the necklace, even though they don't perfectly match, but I love the combination of colors πŸ©·πŸŒΈπŸ’š

What do you think of this set? Feel free to share your opinions below!

I am very excited this morning, you'll never guess what I realized that I have!

So some backstory: I acquire collections of other people's jewelry supplies when they retire, usually for a pretty good price. And I will admit that I don't know everything about what I have, as I have thousands of different kinds of beads in many materials.

I'm learning new things everyday. Including what natural undyed Coral looks like, and how rare it is! And that's exactly what is in these pictures.

I'm happy that I acquired these things second hand, because I don't want to contribute to the over harvesting of coral in the oceans.. The coral that I'm showing you here in the front center of this container are natural undyed branches that are more than 30 years old! And in the second picture are some older coral barrel beads that are a natural blue color. Although not as shiny, they are also hard to find. And they've just been sitting here in this container for years, but I've been inspired lately and decided to reorganize all of my supplies, and so I rediscovered these again and got really excited πŸ˜ŽπŸ’•

I look forward to creating some beautiful pieces with this and showcasing them for you!

Threw together some pretty things to try to work with this week. It's so sunny and even a little warm here, and this unseasonable weather is giving me some great inspiration. ;). 🌸

I made my own earrings for my Christmas outfit this year! They go very well with the lovely green dress that I recently thrifted. πŸ’š

These are made in a vintage style, but all of the materials are fairly new. Also includes some now retired Swarovski crystals.

And hey new followers! Nice to have you here!

Just wanted to show you how I pack some of my creations, especially smaller things like earrings! I learned how to make these little Japanese paper boxes some years ago while working at a mall. One of my co-workers was from Nepal and had learned this somewhere, and she passed it on to me! And I've been making them ever since, and I love them.
I collect scrapbook paper solely for the purpose of making these little things!

Another thing I collect is tissue paper! The last picture shows my hoard, collected from various sources over several years. It pays to save! Lol

Some recent creations!! And some favorites from earlier in the year.☺️

I'm very pleased with how these pieces turned out! I had fun making them. The necklace was the most work, and is inspired by my fall garden.
Both the earrings and the necklace contain discontinued Swarovski Crystal beads. I don't have lots left, so I'm careful about which projects they go into. ☺️
