My name is Ernie, a disabled Vietnam Veteran who can't work, so I joined a rock and mineral club at the invitation of a friend. It was fascinating, and I thought it would be a great hobby. Thus began my journey into rock hounding. You can't truly appreciate rocks without slicing them open to reveal their beautiful interiors. That's all it took; I was captivated. Consequently, I needed equipment to cut and polish the many stones. So, I acquired the necessary saws and grinders. And just like that, a new Lapidarist emerged...
