A gorgeous custom creation for my good friend . All hand-fabricated in 18k with a stunning, natural 1 carat VVS center Canadian diamond from . I’m still pretty jealous of this diamond actually and when I saw it in person, I wanted to keep it for myself. 😬

There’s so many small details here with side curls and under curls and over curls. Can you tell that I like curls?

Chris () and I have been working on bringing you some new ringband stencil designs and are very happy to announce that we are adding a Steep & Shallow Chevron Stencil to the lineup.

They are made of titanium and don’t interfere with the soldering process and they are even pickle safe. I literally pick up the whole piece and quench it in my pickle when I finish soldering.

All the Ringband Stencils are interchangeable so if you already have a straight one you can mix and match.

Ps. What do you think of reels with no music and just the sounds of the workshop? Like them? Miss the music? I liked the simple sounds in this video so decided to leave them as is. I only had to mute the very last clip because a kid was yelling MOMMMMM super loud. 😆

Welcome to my cellar workbench

I like to joke that what I do is simply doodling with silver. I draw with wire and color with a torch. Filigree starts with bits of twisted wire that I shape and form, then solder together to create something beautiful that can be worn and treasured. It gives me such a rush of satisfaction every time a tiny curl of silver wire fits perfectly in its place. Most of the time I do my filigree free-hand and the pattern that emerges as I work is as much a surprise to me as anyone else. I love flowers with petals in groups of three, multi-dimensional shapes, jewelry that can move and hinge, and incredible nerdy sci-fi that I ask myself all the time, "mmmm how could I make that in filigree?"
