出来立てのリングと1ヶ月程着用したシルバーのエタニティリングを比較してみました。
ひと月程ほぼ毎日着用したリングは、硫化させて真っ黒にした面は摩擦により徐々に銀色が露わになってきました。
彫った面は、酸化により少し曇りがかって輝きが鈍り、硫化によって色味が沈んでコントラストがでできました。
コントラストにより石を留めている粒々の存在感が強くなったように感じます。

Here are two silver eternity rings in comparison.
One freshly made, and another worn almost everyday for more than a month.
After wearing this ring almost everyday for more than a month, I’m starting to see how the patina wears off, and how the oxidation and sulfurization affects the engraved surface of silver.
In my opinion, oxidation makes the shine decrease, and the sulfurization(as it darkens the tone of silver) creates contrast and highlights the details of the stone setting.
