[Chrome Hearts: More than Silver & Leather]

Chrome Hearts Holiday 2018 Collection

Founded in 1988 in Los Angeles by Richard Stark, Chrome Hearts is a “luxury accessories & leather goods brand.” However, there's seemingly no limit to the things Chrome Hearts will produce. In this Series “Chrome Hearts: More than Silver & Leather”, we will shed light on other products from Chrome Hearts than the usual items everyone has been familiar with. Let’s begin with some special item we picked from Chrome Hearts Holiday 2018 Collection.

The collection is punctuated with luxe detailing of gold, silver and diamonds, while items that vary in different categories include a basketball hoop, sleeping bag, baby rattle and spoon, stethoscope, walker, Rubik’s cube, dog collar, push pins, dumbbells, stuff toys, pen set, nail polish set and many more.

"Silver, everything"

During the reign of the Hispanic Monarchy. A piece of eight, famously known as Peso, is a silver coin, each Peso worth eight reales - an unit of currency in Spain.

Back then, coins were valued by their actual weight in gold or silver, not just on what they looked like. Spanish coins were preferred over other currency because they had a milled, or patterned edge, which prevented dishonest traders from shaving slivers off of the coins without being detected. The pureness of a piece of eight was expected to be a resolution for Colonists in British North America, as they were not allowed to mint money of their own and cutting money was legal. Each and every cut peso piece - a "bit" was use in day-to-day business by colonists and share equal value.

Verits team has made an agreement to change our name to aforementioned "The Eight Piece" with the same predetermined goal - a magnitude collection, focused on fine, palpable, wearable silver ornarmention piece.
