Working on a cool Next-Gen drone project and have found some pretty crazy info on where AI & ML is at in the military and defense world

Automated AI Drones exist right now that will fly into and map entire buildings with lidar

They use object detection to discover weapons and other target data

They carry multiple sensors including infrared that are set to discover humans hiding in the building

They relay all this information, in real time to a nearby strikeforce

But that's not scary. Very cool, but not scary...

A pharmaceutical company used AI to create chemical weapons

Using AI, they switched one line of code from a zero to a one, literally. It was the toxicity safety switch. Instead of finding new chemicals to heal, it was now set to find new chemicals to kill

They let the AI run overnight generating new chemicals

In the morning, the AI had generated over 40,000 new chemicals that could kill - the blueprints for new chemical weapons

The really scary part, any lab in the world could theoretically do the same thing...
