Maguire was murdered the day after Christmas 2010. We honor him not for the way he died... but for the way he LIVED! On December 26, 2010, the day after Christmas, Woburn MA, Police Officer John "Jack" Maguire responded to a robbery in progress at the jewelry counter at Kohl's Department Store in Woburn where a gun battle ensued leaving Maguire and one of his killers dead. Jack was married and had

three children and was a few short months from retirement. In the 24 hours since his murder two of his killers cohorts have been arrested and arraigned on murder and accessory charges. But the Boston media has been so obsessed with silly and frivolous snow storm coverage that I felt it was important to give Officer Maguire a tribute page so that people can pass along information about the case and send their well wishes to his family.
