This is my conceit. . . I will only use what I already have in my making. I won't purchase anything new.
Old bed pillows become stuffing, a sock becomes a hat, yarn, buttons and beads - embelishments and my 84 year old quilt squares are the star of the show.

I was gifted a stack of vintage quilt blocks from my mother, Nancy. She was given them by my Aunt Alice. Alice got them from her Aunt Camille who found them in her Great Aunt Mina Max's attic, after Mina passed. Aunt Camille said she remembers her Mom and Aunts sitting on the porch together making quilt blocks from old clothing scraps and newspaper. (The newspaper backing is dated May 20, 1941.)

I am thankful and honored to have this history to share. I've made one thing so far, and it's ridiculously adorable 😍. Check back to see 👀.
