Today we had an absolutely AWESOME time getting hands-on with science! 🌸🧪 Residents experimented with flowers and food coloring as we watched the petals slowly begin to change colors right before our eyes. We learned how flowers absorb water through their stems and how the colored water travels up into the petals showing us exactly how plants “drink” and transport nutrients!
Everyone loved seeing the beautiful transformations happen and enjoyed learning the science behind it all. It was a fun, colorful, and educational activity filled with curiosity, excitement, and lots of smiles! 🌈✨

We had a delicious Memorial Day weekend lunch filled with comfort food, laughter, and gratitude! Residents enjoyed crispy fried chicken, baked beans, a beautiful patriotic cake, and so many other tasty favorites shared among friends. 🇺🇸❤️
As we gathered together, we took time to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and give thanks for the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are forever grateful for their courage, service, and dedication to our country. It was a wonderful afternoon of full bellies, warm smiles, meaningful conversations, and appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

Hattie has been serving the residents at our Saint Paul Rd location in Hampstead, MD with a smile for just under a year. Hattie is caring, reliable and has an infectious optimism even on the most difficult days. She routinely goes above and beyond and always pays attention to the smallest details that help keep our resident’s home in tip top shape. Hattie's love for her residents and pride in her work make her an asset to the Golden Crest team. We are so excited to present her with this honor! Congratulations, Hattie!

What a wonderful trip to Olive Garden! 🍝🥗🍰 We filled our tummies with delicious soup, salad, pasta, and tiramisu, and filled our hearts with great friends, nonstop laughter, and unforgettable memories. ❤️ Time flies when you’re having fun we couldn’t believe how the time had passed before we headed home! 🤭

April showers bring May flowers! 🌸💐 This week we spent time creating beautiful faux flower arrangements using pipe cleaners and yarn. Each arrangement turned out so unique and beautiful, filled with creativity, color, and lots of love. Best of all, these handmade blooms will last a lifetime and continue to brighten our rooms for weeks to come! ❤️

Today we made delicious veggie kabobs! 🫑🍅🧅 Residents took their time carefully cutting and chopping tomatoes, onions, peppers, and squash before skewering them and roasting them slowly over the fire. 🔥 The best part was sharing our homemade creations with everyone in the house as a tasty side for lunch! 😋 There were lots of smiles, teamwork, and fun every step of the way.

Nothing better than delicious food and even better company! 🍽️❤️ We enjoyed a wonderful lunch outing to Bob Evans with many friends, sharing lots of laughter, conversation, and tasty meals together. Outings like these always make for special memories and happy hearts! 😊

Sunshine, sweet treats, and smiling faces! ☀️🍦 Our outdoor ice cream social was the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful weather while spending time together with friends. Residents had so much fun soaking up the sun, enjoying delicious ice cream, and making wonderful memories outdoors. Days like these remind us how special the simple moments can be! ❤️

Pets on pets on pet therapy! 🐶🐱❤️ Nothing brightens a day quite like furry friends and lots of cuddles! Our residents absolutely loved spending time with the therapy pets, sharing smiles, laughter, and plenty of love along the way. These special visits always bring comfort, joy, and so many happy memories to everyone involved! 🐾

Delicious treats and sweet memories! 🧁🍫 Today we spent time baking yummy chocolate chip cupcakes and sharing them with our friends. Everyone had so much fun mixing, decorating, and of course enjoying the tasty results together!
