This 1972 King Marigaux (SML Gold Medal) saxophone is for sale in our reverb store. All original lacquer, this sax has some new pads and will need final adjustment, so we priced it way below market price. This instrument is super-solid and will be a great pro-level performer for decades. These altos have comparable characteristics of the Selmer Mark-6 saxes of the same era -- great intonation, tone, and ergonomics. This one will sell quickly at this price.

I'm really starting to appreciate the French saxes form the 1970's. Just took delivery of a Buffet S1 - wonderful. Also have a SML Gold Medal in the office that is amazing.
