Over 9 years ago I was looking for a new watch, like i did every time a battery died or it broke.

At this point I was talking to a good friend of mine that owned a jewelry store. He wanted to sell me one that he had in stock. I politely declined due to the cost. I perceived his watched as a luxury as the one I liked was $300+.

After some more conversation he asked me a question that has stuck with me on so many levels. He asked me "Do you want to continually buy a $50 watch every year or so. Or do you want to buy a watch that will last the rest of your life"

Sometimes the initial investment hurts. But in thr long run it ends of being less expensive.

I ended up purchasing the watch. I've worn it everywhere, and done almsot everything while wearing it.
Surprisingly it has survived, Quaility, the Sapphire Crystal has taken so much abuse but not even a chip.

It's had a few battery replacements and polished a couple times.

These are just some things to consider, my ramblings.

Today we check and replace the battery in a watch that almost got away from me. It's always important to check the watch name before it goes in the parts bin.
