Safety builds resilience. Shame shuts it down.

A dyslexic child’s brain already works harder to read, write, and spell. When they feel safe—free from embarrassment, pressure, or comparison—their brain stays open to learning. They’ll take risks, try again, ask questions, and grow.

While reading to your child is important for the development of comprehension skill, vocabulary, and knowledge, it will never teach your child to decode. Cohort 6 trainees, Sydney Menges and Amy Manzulich, finished their year 1 summer intensive training today. It was very special to me since Sydney was my kindergarten student years ago. These ladies are going to make a difference at their schools and in the lives of their students! They are awesome!
