I got out for a little while today. My finds were. A wheat penny, a small wrench, a marble, 1935 Mercury dime, 1904 Barber quarter. And here's a first for me, a spoon ring. People would make rings out of spoon handles. You can still see some of the guild on it in some spots.

Got out yesterday. Pretty crazy to be out on February 7th. I found 7 wheat pennies, a silver spoon, part of a copper bracelet, a scout tie slide, a 1953 Roosevelt dime, and a surprise marble that was frozen in the plug with a wheat penny.

Got out today with Scott Hetzer at a road tear out. First find was a child's ring which I thought was just a junk ring, turned out after cleaning it up a little, turns out to be a 14k gold filled ring. Found a 1938 Merc dime, 1876 Indian Head penny, wheat penny don't know the year. And a nickel and 5 penny's. And some odds and ends. Was super fun to get out again. Thanks Scotty!! Gold and Silver day for the first day out in 2023.

My first find of the year. A group of us were in North Carolina. We were looking for a lost ring. I pulled this one out of the ground. It wasn't the ring we were looking for. Turns out that this was her mother's wedding band that she lost around 40 years ago or so. Missy cried when Dave handed it to her. Definitely happy we found a little piece of family history for her.

I'm pretty sure I found a piece of petrified wood today. My son said, the one side looks like Red pine bark. It weighs about 5lbs. And yes, it's hard like a rock.

My finds from yesterday. Ten Indian head pennies, I had two wheat pennies, but lost one somewhere. 1927 Mercury dime, 1907 Barber dime, a rough looking shield nickel, two V nickels, and a print press plate. Which is a great find, it's only the third one I've ever found.

My finds from my last couple of times out. 1916 Mercury dime, 1899, 1895, 1898 Indian head pennies, 1927 buffalo nickel, 1897, 1889 V nickels, 11 wheat pennies, a harmonica reed, a percussion cap, cuff link, marble, 925 silver heart pendant, and a brooch or hairpiece with a woman's bust on it.
