Mary Pat finally started out on a dream come true when her youngest child was almost 5, when she took her first stained glass class in Gouverneur, NY. She remembers the classes fondly as Hailey's Comet was gracing the evening skies many of the nights on her return trip home to Cranberry Lake. It was on her way to her fourth class that she came up with the name Leaded Bliss for her future business'
s name. Being happily married with 5 kids, it was a play on the words Wedded Bliss, and it stuck. She started out from her very first piece drawing her own designs, each was unique. It didn't take long for her to graduate from sun catchers for friends to making more elaborate 3-D pieces using local driftwood, to entering a national stained glass contest 2 years in a row, and finally producing her popular "nugget" earrings. She was just starting to get noticed locally, when a change in location eliminated her studio space, and halted her business for over 10 years. She is now very close to getting her studio set up in Watertown, NY, and is starting to create jewelry in her teensie apartment. She is looking forward to sharing her artistic abilities with her growing customer base, and to take on the challenge of any special orders. In time, she will be creating her web page at www.leadedbliss.com
