Two things:
First: My first mail club mailing went out September 4th - thank you so much to everyone who signed up! The next one goes out the first week of October and you can sign up on my website. If you signed up for the online version, look for a new blog post sometime this weekend ā¤ļø Iā€™ll also have a ā€œgrab and goā€ version of Septemberā€™s mail club available at the market throughout September.

Second: I can already feel the effects of the mail club - I did some experimenting in the studio this week! I was going to make some more coral earrings, but since itā€™s a gazillion degrees outside, I thought Iā€™d try a melting theme instead . These will be at the market on Saturday, September 5th!

The Medici bankrolled Michelangelo so he wouldn't have to paint the same cherub 400 times just to keep the lights on.

That's basically what a mail club membership does for me (minus the Italian villa). I make the same items a lot because they sell - which pays the studio rent but doesnā€™t really feed my quirky artist soul.

Your monthly support gives me the freedom to experiment againā€¦to make something weird, risky, or completely unhingedā€¦that might just be my next best thing!ļæ¼

When you subscribe to my mail club, you get real art in your actual mailbox, I get to remember why I started making things in the first place, and together we prove that patronage isn't dead - it just looks different than what I learned in school.

I packed my car and I headed to the peoriariverfrontmarket to set up todayā€¦I knew it was going to be rainy, but I was hopeful that we would get a longer reprieve. Unfortunately, the radar indicates otherwise, so I ended up going home (really rainy markets warp all of my jewelry cards and art, and can cause a lot of damage to my stuff). BUT, for the brief moment I was there I saw other vendors setting up, so if youā€™re a person that loves the rain (I love the rain, I just donā€™t like ruined art), you should head out! Especially because Kira's Flowers is there and as usual, has the most gorgeous blooms!

The Riverfront Market is on the moveā€¦but just for one day!

With the Steamboat Classic Road Race happening this Saturday, June 6, in Downtown Peoria, the market is TEMPORARILY being moved to the parking lot of Northwoods Mall. THIS IS JUST THIS SATURDAY.

With extensive street closures required for the race, the organizers want to avoid the hassles of getting to the market and finding parking, so they are making a TEMPORARY move to the mall.

Same great vendors, same awesome local vibe! And if itā€™s been a minute since youā€™ve visited, check out all the local businesses now located in the mall.

Join us on our adventure and shop the market **this Saturday only** 8-Noon, at Northwoods Mall.

I went back to school in January, and Iā€™m absolutely the oldest person in all of my classes.
Itā€™s fine.
Totally fine.
Iā€™ve actually done this before. Iā€™m just much older than my classmates this time instead of average older.
Itā€™s fine šŸ˜¬
Anyway.
I was recently promoted at my home health care job, and because of that I had to switch all of my in person classes to online. Which is a struggle for me, because I have a really hard time focusing when left to my own devices. Study location matters so much when it comes to my success as a student. So shout out to cxtcoffeeā€™s Campus Town location and staff for providing great service, great coffee, and a great place for me to study. They have been so welcoming - and itā€™s so close to my house!

Itā€™s really great to have them in the neighborhood, so I hope youā€™ll stop by and show them some support so that they stick around ā¤ļø
