Rick & Lori Wakefield Hand Crafted We create Hand Turned items such as Pens, wine glasses, wine bottle stoppers, duck calls, purse hangers and other item. Hand painted wine glasses.

We create hand turned pens from wood, and acrylic. We make almost all of our pen blanks. We scour old groves and have been given many different materials from friends & family. Rick cuts the wood or we go for walks and pick up pine cones, walnut shells and acorns. The cast them in acrylic if need be and turn them on a turning lathe. We can make things from something that is special to you from your own person materials also.

Tried another experiment. Cut wood blank to fit into a silicone mold, and drilled several holes on one side. Mixed acrylic and filled in the holes, and let cure. Pulled out the blank and drilled several holes on a different side, and again poured a different color acrylic. After cure pull out the blank and drill and pour a third and final color acrylic. And this is how it turned out.

A new pen kit we're trying. It's a Christmas themed pen with candy Cane pocket clip, Santa face on the top, and sleigh and reindeer flying around the bottom. Two are made of pine cones from Walnut Grove, the other is made of an experiment with acrylic that I think I might make more blanks since it looks a bit like a candy Cane, it works OK.
