Please be ready to provide proof of person and proof of ownership. We strive to share all fantasy artwork available on the web with our audience. Much of our content is shared with us. However, we do not wish to upset, or in any way distress, any individual with legitimate claim, or ownership, to any of the images shared here at The Orb Archive. While it saddens us to not be able to share every piece of fantasy artwork, we respect everyone's right to ownership. General information
Please feel free to use this page as a forum for anything Fantasy. Fantasy Art is the Archives focus, however, Fantasy is why we are here and welcome any topic from film, books, and art, to role-playing, gaming, and comics. All things magical and Fantastic are open to discuss, post, or browse. Although we have focused on fantasy, science fiction will have a large place in The Orb Archive. The Magical, The Fantastic, The Paranormal.... all Have a place in the Archive. While our initial efforts will show a large preference to classic based fantasy artwork, digital fantasy art, and certain artists,( as we have stated we would like to avoid) - we would like to note that the Archive is a body of work in progress. The First uploads will be our personal fantasy art collections. As the page grows, we will be moving and adjusting artwork as categories grow and new categories form. We will be searching for artwork to add to the Archive, diversifying and growing the collection. Please be understanding and patient, enjoy watching the Archive grow and develop. We encourage the sharing of fantasy artwork that we do not have in our picture section. Being a part of the Archive will help it become the most diverse fantasy art collection on Facebook. Thank you for your time Sincerely, The Orb Staff Gaze into the Orb..... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= FUTURE PROPOSED AND SUGGESTED CHANGES: *Dwarves become their own category leaving gnomes & halflings as their own category. *Added category to cover digital fantasy artworks based in life. *Added category to cover all OTHER fantasy artworks. *Dragons may need to be split in the future into sub categories of dragons. *Mermaids broadened to include sea serpents and other sea creatures. *Need to streamline battle and armies... rename suggestion to armies and battles. *Added category to cover magical pictograms and Rune artworks from today. *Search and broaden fantasy tattoo category. *Suggested: Split Druids, Dryads, & Satyrs... taking Druids and adding Shamans=Druids & Shamans.... Take Dryads, & Satyrs and combine with category centaurs=Centaurs, Satyrs, & Dryads... this would also include all other forest like beings. *Perhaps add or somehow split surreal art into further sub groups. *Adding Paladins in some way to Clerics, Monks, & Priests, and lowering the load on warriors, knights, and fighters. *Adding Category for sculpture art, mural art, jewelry, and Perhaps sandcastle art. *Add Category for vampires (perhaps Vampires & Mummies) *Add Category for elementals (or something along those lines) This list may be updated and changed at any time. This is an attempt by The Orb to communicate with our audience and let them know where we plan to go with the page. The Orb Staff

The Orb does not profit from any artwork, sell any artwork, or claim ownership to ANY artwork we show. The Orb Archive is a library, a gallery of fantasy artworks in an attempt to bring as diverse a collection together as possible. It would be our ultimate goal to have a complete archive of all fantasy art on the web in one place. While this is a tall order, we are dedicated to this goal.
ALL artworks shown by The Orb are found on the internet and gathered into a comprehensive archive on the web. The Orb does not scan any tangible artworks for uploading, nor do we condone this. While many of our artworks are shared with us we would like to note that we are not responsible for the way artworks are uploaded to the web by others. That being said please be responsible and only share artworks that have been uploaded by the artists to the web for sharing. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
