Kukio Jewelry Handmade sterling silver earrings, rings & necklaces with stunning gem stones. Please plan on 2-3 hours for your workshop.

Workshop prices cover the entire workshop, instruction and guidance, materials (single stone, single band or chain) to make a sterling silver ring or pendant you take home with you. The workshop will take place in my converted barn in Valleyford, WA which is located just off of Dishman-Mica & Madison, Valleyford, WA. A variety of gemstones and natural stones & Sterling Silver bands and chains will be available for you to choose from. My workshop is set up with four work spaces that can be purchased individually each available session. My workshop does have stairs up to the studio so it is not ADA accessible. The bathroom facilities are privative (composting toilet).

Friday night ring workshop ❤️

These two were absolutely wonderful (A+ students 😉)! They chose beautiful Imperial Topaz and Ocean Jasper stones and spent the evening creating rings for each other.

I loved watching how much care they put into every little detail, taking their time sanding, shaping and making sure each ring was just perfect for the other person. There was such a genuine warmth between these two, and it was really lovely to be around.

One of my favorite things about these workshops is getting to know the people who come into my studio. These two made the evening especially wonderful, and I feel so lucky to have shared this time with them.

Inspired by the quiet beauty of autumn, these one-of-a-kind earrings capture the graceful movement of leaves drifting from the trees.

Each falling leaf is hand-shaped from sterling silver and carefully textured with delicate patterns that bring its organic form to life. Nestled into each leaf is a beautiful green turquoise stone, with soft black matrix winding through its vibrant color. The combination is simply stunning against the silver.

The leaves are intentionally set at different angles, creating a playful sense of movement, as though they’ve been caught in a gentle autumn breeze, each finding its own way to the ground.

The colors in this turquoise are everything I love about fall. Deep forest greens with rich orange and brown matrix running through the stone, creating the most beautiful combination of earthy colors.

I set this gorgeous turquoise against a sterling silver fern leaf, hand carved to bring out the delicate texture and natural details of the leaf. I love how the silver complements the stone without taking away from those incredible colors.

Double sterling silver hoops allow the pendant to hang beautifully balanced from a 16-inch sterling silver chain, with just the right amount of movement.

Every one of these earrings starts with a stone that catches my eye and an idea of what it might become.

Turquoise, fossilized coral, topaz, chrysoprase, onyx, kyanite, and pearls. Each stone is chosen individually, and I work the sterling silver around it, shaping, texturing, and designing each piece from start to finish with my hands (and a few really great tools).

One of my favorite parts of designing is pairing stones that might not seem like the obvious choice but somehow turn out to be perfect together. I love playing with shapes, setting stones in unexpected directions, and finding the little details that make each pair feel just right. I never make the same pair twice, and that’s part of what makes this work so special to me.

Designing jewelry is my quiet place. It’s where I can get lost in the details, follow an idea, and create something that didn’t exist before. Being able to share these little pieces of that process with all of you means so much to me.

There is something mesmerizing about these chrysoprase stones. Their soft, translucent green seems to hold movement within, like sunlight dancing across shallow water. The color is warm, vibrant, and impossible to pass by without a second look.

Each stone is set on sterling silver backplates and framed with fine silver bezels that highlight its natural beauty. Hand-stamped hoops add texture and character, creating a design that feels special. Suspended from the bottom of each hoop, delicate sterling silver rings and luminous white pearls bring gentle movement.

Third workshop with this amazing woman. Some people come into your life at just the right time, and she is that person for me. I truly enjoy her company, stories, advice, and her love for stones and creating absolutely beautiful jewelry.

This time, she designed a Dino bone and carnelian open cuff, and it turned out to be the perfect combination. The natural patterns in the Dino bone paired beautifully with the warm glow of the carnelian, creating a piece that feels both earthy and elegant.

I’m so grateful for the time we spend creating together and for all the inspiration, laughter, and shared love of stones that come with it.

Some stones just stop me in my tracks, and this Agua Nueva Agate from Mexico was one of them. The soft purples, that golden glow at the top, and the incredible veining had me completely captivated. And then there’s the little garden of moss tucked into the bottom of the stone—a tiny world hidden inside, just waiting to be discovered.

A faceted citrine adds a beautiful spark of golden light, while gleaming sterling silver and delicate details bring everything together without taking away from the natural magic of the stones.

The more I look at this pendant, the more little details I notice. It’s one of those pieces that reminds me why I love working with natural stones so much. No two are ever alike, and this one truly could never be recreated.

Day two of our four-week metalsmithing workshop: pendants! ❤️

These four created some of the most beautiful pendant necklaces, each one taking shape from start to finish in the studio. There were a lot of moving parts this time around, so I admittedly didn’t take nearly enough pictures! When you’re busy teaching, creating and watching everyone bring their ideas to life, sometimes the camera gets forgotten.

They’ll be back in late November or early December to finish out their four sessions with cuffs and earrings, and I’m already looking forward to seeing what they create next.

Four weeks of learning new skills, working with beautiful stones and silver, and creating one-of-a-kind jewelry with their own hands. I feel so lucky to be part of their journey!

I promise I’ll do better with the pictures next time. 😉🌺

Tuesday night ring workshop ❤️

These two were my perfect Tuesday night. I enjoyed the entire evening watching them create their own beautiful, one-of-a-kind turquoise rings. They filled my studio with such great energy, and I truly feel lucky to have had them here.

There’s something so special about sharing my space with people who are excited to create, try something new, and leave with a piece of jewelry they made with their own hands. Nights like these remind me how much I love what I do.

Thank you both for spending your Tuesday evening in my studio and making it such a wonderful one. ❤️
