r her fifth Christmas, she asked for diamonds and rubies and she's been in search of bling ever since. When she couldn't find it, Gina Vitale created it. Hi! It’s been a minute. I’m back. We’re back. Can’t let This. Much. Time. pass without a personal HELLO♥️

Fair Portia. I dreamt this up 30 years ago. I dream it as I go along. It’s ever changing, but since my hands are connected to my brain {almost always😅} the long thread of my work stays present. I hope its recognizable. Its always inspired by 3 things : The materials, the way they Move, The gems & crystals, the way they Shine, & you, all of the ways you Are You.

Forever & Ever.

Fair Portia is a hybrid, just like me.

It isn’t really Contemporary, Fashion, or Fine, but it crosses those lines frequently.

I’m not a Maker, an Artist or a Designer, but I have aspects of all of those.

My next few posts are going to flit & flutter all around these ideas so you can get to know more about FP, how it all started, why after 30 years of exploring & inventing I Still find it all So Much Fun. But mostly I just want to say over and over again how much You Inspire me. Thank you for coming out to Play.

So so many women have contributed to Fair Portia, beautiful women & quite a few supportive men as well. I have so much gratitude for all of you. I never forget these moments.

So much heart and story makes its way into Fair Portia, and it always will✨
With the Rough Times we’re facing, I’ve personally had a hard time posting, even though I Strongly believe that art is a one of the bridges we need the most to spread the Love, to speak the Language of Love💫

While your soul is busy knitting itself back together in its Mysterious unknowable way, I try not to trouble you with my sadness of missing you, too much. I know you know you gave me wings & that I’m ok.

But aren’t I Lucky though. To have had such a mother.

✨…hi there. It feels like a lifetime ago, but here we are✨Hoping many of you had a chance to catch the recent exhibit at the Leo gallery & experience the immense beauty of Janice Arnold’s stunning handmade Felt large scale installation.

As part of the theme: Skin and Bones in the Multiverse, a collaborative part of the exhibit involved a few artists bringing their particular metier to a pair of jeans, reimagining the “Skin” , transforming the “Bones”, an acknowledgement of what we’ve come through, a hopeful proclamation of moving forward with raised awareness & Love & purpose…with light-heartedness woven in

I’m so grateful to Janice for inviting me to be part of this magic; it was a complete joy and catharsis to create this jean sculpture,
“Personal Gravity” it was like making a wish for us all
