A prismatic evening of delight. Delectable food by aimeerosehunter PRISM CAFE inspired by gemstones and a beautiful setting to share my fascination with earthen treasures. Through the evening lapidary artist keithcler and I shared incredible, rare gem specimens and our experience working daily with these materials by hand. Education, art, wonder and food. Collaboration makes life richer, more flavorful, a spectrum🌈 the evening was a true delight and a great way to celebrate my new Gemologist knowledge.

SAPPHIRE: Septembers birthstone, beautiful and durable and almost perfect in the way it bends the light. Sapphire is found in every color of the rainbow depending on what trace elements are in its hexagonal crystal structure. We love using it for engagement rings for its ability to withstand every day wear.

The garnet in this ring came from the first piece of jewelry a mother bought herself after a divorce. A symbol of empowered independence for a woman starting a new chapter as a single mother. When considering a nice gift for her son, this garnet is what she thought of, a symbol of her strength and steadfast love for him. The diamonds were pulled from her mother’s ring, creating a ring that connects him to 2 matriarchs. Jewelry can be more than adornment, it can be a talisman of power, emboldening us through connection and love.
