A snippet of how my mantle looks right now! On the bottom right corner I have some plants that I’ve got recovering, and on the bottom left I’ve got my THRIVING Swiss cheese plant. I just had to feature my dieffenbachia on the top right, it’s doing so good! Usually I struggle with those, but this one has had zero problems! Isn’t it fun to rearrange things every now and then? I sure love to!

I’m finally ready to feature my red rex begonia! This was a CUTTING!! I was so excited to see the growth of such a small start of this plant. Now, I’m able to show off the final product! I’ve honestly just left this guy alone. It gets medium light, all of which is indirect. I water once it’s dried out, and this is the end result!

This morning while on my walk I saw some beautiful spotted wintergreen flowers! I look for these every year, they’re like little gems. They grow in the shade, and from what I’ve seen they’re typically against a tree or in that general area. They’re not the easiest to find, but when you can find them you’ll be glad! I hope everyone’s had a great/rewarding week this week.

Huge thank you for all of my followers for being patient with me this past month!! Getting married takes a lot of work to prepare and set up. I’m so excited to announce that I am officially Mrs. Gracie Davis! gracie b. nursery will stay the same! Time to resume the plant posts!🌱

My beautiful dieffenbachia! I’ve had a love-hate relationship with these guys. They’re supposed to grow like a cane, but if you don’t like the leggy look, you can snip it and put it in water to re-root itself and look like it did before. At first I didn’t know that, so when the bottom foliage would brown and fall off I freaked out and landed up giving a little ~too~ much love, and I’ve killed one. After that lovely trial run I’ve been a lot more successful. They need their soil to be watered thoroughly and allow it to dry for the most part before watering again. I’d say watering is the biggest thing to keep track of with them. Don’t over water, let the plant wilt before you water if you’re nervous, it’s similar to a peace Lily in that behavior. If you’ve never had one before please consider trying them! They’re gorgeous.

Tiny Bluets, these are my favorite flower to see in the spring. They’re gorgeous little flowers and their stalk literally looks like a blade of grass. They come back every year and continue to spread throughout our property. Do any of you have any out of the ordinary wildflower favorites like these?

For those of you that haven’t seen my plant room, here it is!! I just removed my ~huge~ aloe Vera out of here, and it gave me a TON of room. Excuse the mess please, I’m working on it😂 Anyway, this is where all the magic happens. The propagating, rooting, repotting, etc. is done. As you can see, in the winter I need plastic up, a heater put in and set to 60°, and a little humidity to keep everything happy and healthy. In the summer I take it all down and let the South Carolina summer weather be in charge.

Here’s one of my baby pitcher plants!! I’ve had a hard time figuring these guys out, but I know that their substrate shouldn’t be rich with fertilizer, and you shouldn’t ever plan to fertilize them, or so I’m told. I struggle keeping the pitchers alive for long, but it keeps producing plenty. Have any of you had more success? My larger one has a fine time making pitchers and keeping them longer and I just make sure the substrate doesn’t get too dry. That’s about all their care is to my understanding!

I’m not sure how many of you know, but as well as a small plant obsession I also own goats!! We have all been enjoying the start of spring weather so much. The grass is getting greener, air is warmer, and skies are brighter! -

Spring is coming!!! My absolute favorite season is on its way! These hyancinths in these cute little vases will always be one of my favorite things to buy each spring. They’re easy, beautiful, fragrant, and just so refreshing to see when you come home! My whole house smells like spring. I used to think that hyancinth only came in “blue”. Pink has become my favorite since discovering the variations! It’s just so soft and inviting. I hope you get a chance to enjoy these while they last! My hyancinths outdoors have also come up in full bloom and make my backyard smell nice! Happy Wednesday everyone. Get through this gorgeous week!!

New Etsy listing!! I absolutely love Birkin Philodendrons. They’re absolutely gorgeous, easy to take care of, and continue to thrive with a little light and some appropriate waterings. These guys need medium to bright indirect light, watering once a week or so, and a good shower will greatly help reduce dust on their leaves.
