Who is ready for the 1st trail race of the season?!

Our Steamboat season opener is less than two weeks away on the beautiful green trails of Emerald Mountain.

Join us on June 13th for the always classic Howelsen Hill Trail Run! 8 and 4 mile loops offered around the front side of Emerald Mountain. The race begins and ends at historic Howelsen Hill Ski Area, the oldest continually operating ski area in the country.

Stay after for delicious food by , raffle from our amazing sponsors for all, and beautiful handmade prizes (pictured) for our winners!

As always, it really helps us if you sign up early so that we can plan for food and volunteers. This race is a benefit for groups that help with our local chapter of the Special Olympics and it is the best gathering of our community and celebration of trails being open.

As we celebrate next months arrival of our trail races we want to highlight a new race on our calendar.

On June 27th join us for the SBT TRL, a collab with !

We are excited to partner with the race weekend to introduce a trail running race to the festivities!

Saturday the 27th we will host a 5k and 10k on the trails of Emerald Mountain. This is another opportunity to support the non profit 501 C3

If you are in town to support your rider for the gravel race, come and run on Saturday, beginners and elites alike! If you are an adventerous rider, join us for a nice warm up on Saturday before the bike race Sunday. Walkers welcome in the 5k and youth pricing available.

Detailed course descriptions will be posted in the next week. Thankfully we have had quite a bit of rain and snow over the last month and everything is as green as can be 🌿

2 distances, both starting and ending at the base of historic Howelsen Hill ski area weaving through aspens, oak and wildflowers. After party, awards, raffle for all, and food hosted in Little T***s Park at SBT race headquaters.

Join us on Saturday June 13th for the long standing HH Trail Runs to kick off summer!

The race starts @ 8:30 a.m. at the historic Howelsen Hill Ski Area. 2 distances offered, an 8M big loop amd a 4 mile loop. Both on single track among the aspens and beautiful spring flowers of Emerald Mountain. Course descriptions on our website

After the race, we had one of our runners, Xavier Knott, a student member of speak about a NYC marathon fundraiser he is doing where he will run to raise money for MS. We will see if we can get a QR code if you would like to donate and post it on our page.

We have 2 trail races now in June so after you run the in a few weeks join us for the Howelsen Hill Trail Run, a Steamboat classic, and our new trail race with ! We will be blowing up your feed with all sorts of trail content starting ASAP

This community is truly the best! Having raced all over this country, we don't think there are many better communities than this one and this series is the heart of what it should all be about🩷

It's race week again!

Join us on Saturday, May 16th at 9:00 AM for the Spirit Challenge Run for Autism 5K and 10k!

This long-standing race is our last road race of the year before we turn to the trails. Join us for this wonderful benefit for the program which is such an amazing resource in our community!

The 5K is a loop and the 10K is an out and back toward Strawberry Park, plus a little kid fun run around the middle school track

Registration is open at www.running series.com. Remember, it really helps us if you sign up early so we can plan for food.

Leashed pets are welcome, baby joggers as well, and walkers welcome in the 5K.

We are excited to see many of you tomorrow at the 47th annual Hayden Cog Run!

The 5k and 8.4M Cog both start at 10:00 am with the little kids fun run starting at 10:05

Leashed pets and baby joggers are welcome in the 5K, as well as walkers. Take your time and enjoy this beautiful spring weather!

There will be 1 aid station for the Cog distance with water and Honey Stinger products at the top of the climb, please bring your own cup. We will have the small SSRS silicone reusable cups for sale for $5 at registration. These are great and can fold up inside of a pocket.

Post race please stick around for raffle and awards for the Top 3 M and F in each race. We will start the raffle once most of the Cog runners are back at the finish line. Food and drinks will be provided.
