What do you do to foster and protect your creativity and passion? A lot of magic can happen when we’re just vibing and making something with our hands and brain. AI could never.

I like to cook, build legos, bake (favorite) and make jewelry. Last year I created a little whimsical forest scene in my kitchen with some miniatures I found from Michael’s. Sometimes I’ll get the urge to get the cricut out and make some new shirts. Either with vinyl or screen printing. I just really like being crafty. How about you?

What are some things that you’ve been doing to bring yourself a sense of safety and protection? I use crystals to help (red jasper, smoky quartz and obsidian) but I’ve also been retraining my brain and body with affirmations.

“I am safe now.” “I am protected now.”

It’s interesting how our bodies and systems remember things. Even with shrouded memories. I’ve been deep in my healing journey for the past 5 years and as I work through healing the trauma, the positive memories continue to break through. Thinking about the good times of my childhood has definitely helped me. It doesn’t erase the negative but reminds me there was some good to remember.

Has anyone tried somatic breathing? How has it worked for you?

So can we chat for a minute? This year has been crazy in more ways than one. And the pic is for the feed because this is going to have nothing to do with crystals.

It’s going to get real.

I’ll be 40 in August and with everything brought to light this year, I find myself grieving my childhood. I’ve been hugging little Rach extra tight and leaning into things that would’ve brought her joy.

I endured some trauma that a child should never have to experience by a p**o. No consequences came out of it for that person but that karma train is barreling in really hard.

For the first 2 years of high school, a creepy man watched me everyday as I walked home. Same time. Every day. Staring out the window. One day he had his front door open and it scared the s**t out of me. I crossed the street to ask my friend to walk me home. I took public transportation to and from my high school.

Still during high school, but more so junior year, a guy drove to the street next to my bus stop and would wave at me. After about a few months he rolled down the window to ask my name (I said Sarah) and if he could take me to school. I said no and thankfully he never bothered me again.

So with all of that. And then realizing my childhood was marketed on purpose by old ass men with money is shocking. It all makes sense. We were lied to. We were led to believe that many things were cool or needed/made to fit in not knowing they were just satisfying p**o fantasies. It’s gross. It’s sad. It has to change.

I’m done with the bulls**t. I know I’m not the only person who has experienced things like this. This is the first time I’m publicly talking about it.

The systems are crumbling, you can see it by just how blatantly corrupt everything has gotten. Light being shown on darkness just shows how evil the system and people who uphold it are. They want us to think that we have no power and should hand our autonomy over for their manufactured problems.

Their agenda won’t last. They won’t win. We can’t give up hope in believing that good things can still happen (and they are)! I believe in humanity. I believe in art. I believe in love, empathy and compassion. I believe the people will win!

What does the phrase “love thy neighbor” really mean? It means having compassion, love and empathy for your neighbor. Regardless of who they are. It’s supposed to be truly unconditional.

I’ve been wearing this ring for at least a month. I can understand why this is a best seller. It looks awesome on, it’s comfortable, lightweight, and contours to the finger. An added bonus is that gold filled is very slow to tarnish (if it ever does). But a little patina isn’t that bad.

When I make these I put a lot of loving energy into them, along with all the rest of my jewelry. I hope you can feel that as you unbox your pieces.

Another interesting point. I’ll be 40 this year. When I was editing this photo my initial reaction was “wow my hands look old!” But then, I reminded myself that what a privilege it is to grow old. My hands do so much - they give hugs to my family, they bake, they make jewelry, they cook and can type super fast 😂. My hands became a gentle reminder that a life is meant to be lived and that all the new wrinkles on my hands and body are just a bit of patina, that’s all. Still strong. Still beautiful. Still worthy.
