I'm Maggie, and my mom Diane and I are the owners and artists of Three Crows Metalworks. We are excited to have the opportunity to share our work with you. We have been creatives for years, and began working in jewelry in 2010 in a small workshop tucked away deep in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. There, in our small studio, glowing with warm light and the heat of a kerose
ne stove is where the concept of Three Crows Metalworks started. Although our artistic focus for the last several years has been primarily jewelry, my mother and I have worked in many different mediums, including stained glass, ceramics, printmaking, and calligraphy. Metalwork is very versatile, restricted only by one’s imagination, and lends itself to the incorporation of a variety of other artistic techniques. Therefore, you will often see our other artistic interests reflected in our metalwork. Having grown up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we have a deep love and respect for the natural environment, and the natural artistry of the Earth serves as a constant source of inspiration for us. The goal of our work is to create original, beautiful designs inspired by nature to ground the wearer and reconnect them with the natural world. Our jewelry is crafted from high quality sterling silver, copper and bronze, and we often integrate precious and semi-precious stones into our designs. Also, we frequently use recycled metals and high quality cultivated stones for our work, which have a lower environmental impact without sacrificing beauty or quality. While my parents continue to reside and design in the mountains of North Carolina, I have recently started a small studio in Brooklyn, NY. I am excited about continuing to create distinctive nature-inspired jewelry for you to enjoy.
