I have always loved the buffalo nickel. For some time now, I have dreaming about making this set of earrings to match my favorite squash blossom.

A large lot of liberty dollars and buffalo nickels long forgotten in the back of an old storage shed for several decades found its way to me. Some of the coins are over 120 years old. All of them are atleast 90 years old. I keep thinking about all of the places that they have been and hands that were touched. It made me think about what the world was like when they were minted and how much it has changed.

Needless to say, I am so excited about all of the beautiful pieces that I will be able to make with them and the joy that they will bring others.

I will hopefully be making a few sets before Christmas .

When the weather warms up, I get excited for Summer earrings and everything turquoise. A bunch of new earrings dropped in at the Til’ Then Boutique at 182 S. Main Street Soda Springs. My favorite are the “crazy chicken lady earrings”. Blown glass milk glass chickens dropping genuine pearl eggs.

If you haven’t been in the shop lately there are some incredible new vendors with amazing new products. Last season’s earrings are marked down to a $1.00 a pair. Grab them while they are still available.

There are some lovely stones 20% off on sale at Pandora’s. She has some incredible fluorite pairs, opal, fossilized palm wood and coral with druzy , malachite and turquoise. Incredible!

My amazing Aunt Tina taught me stained glass this summer! I have wanted to learn it for so long.

It is still a work in progress. I am getting happier with the results on each new project.
