Obsessed with this conversation I had with Courtney on the podcast last week.

Courtney was a 3rd grade teacher who thought she’d always be a teacher - until she had her daughter and realized she would do anything to be home with her.

Summer is the best launchpad for teachers who want to leave the classroom before the next school year.

I used to live for Fridays too, until I built a business that let me love my work and have freedom during the week.

I did everything “right.”

Good job.
House.
Kids.
Stable career.

But behind the scenes? I was miserable.

My health was falling apart.
My stress levels were insane.
I’d start a new workout routine or health plan and quit two weeks later because I genuinely had no capacity left.

And teachers… I know you’re feeling this too.

I keep hearing from teachers whose blood pressure is high all school year… then magically normal in the summer.

Their anxiety is through the roof during the school year… then suddenly they feel like themselves again in June.

That is NOT normal.

Living in survival mode for 10 months out of the year is not normal.

That’s exactly why I started looking for a way out.

And for me, sleep consulting was the perfect fit.

I got to use the skills I already had, help families in a meaningful way, and I was able to leave my job 7 months later.
