One of my favorite parts of building Maricel Long Jewelry is taking the time to see each piece up close, try it on, and experience how it actually looks when worn.

A closer look behind the scenes at Maricel Long Jewelry 💎✨

What you see in this short video may look like a simple moment—me holding up a beautiful piece of jewelry—but for me, it represents so much more. Every sample I receive is part of the process of building a collection that reflects elegance, beauty, confidence, and timeless style.

I genuinely enjoy opening each package, holding every piece in my hands, examining the design, looking closely at the details, and imagining how it will look when worn. I check the sparkle, the setting, the finish, the size, the presentation, and the overall feeling of the piece. I also try the jewelry on whenever possible because I want to see how it moves, how it catches the light, and how it complements a real woman—not just how it appears in a supplier’s photograph.

Not every sample automatically becomes part of the Maricel Long Jewelry collection. I want to take my time, learn about each piece, and thoughtfully decide which designs truly belong in my store. Creating a jewelry collection is not only about finding something beautiful. It is about choosing pieces that make women feel beautiful, confident, elegant, and special whenever they wear them.

As the founder of Maricel Long Jewelry, I am still learning, growing, and improving every day. I balance this dream with my career as a nurse, being a mother, managing my home, and handling all the responsibilities of everyday life. What you see on a jewelry website is the finished presentation—the beautiful photos, the sparkle, the carefully selected pieces.

But behind every piece I choose for Maricel Long Jewelry, there is another part of the story that you don’t always get to see.

This is part of it. 🤍

Opening new jewelry samples is honestly one of my favorite parts of building this little business. There is always that moment of excitement when a new package arrives because seeing jewelry in a photograph and finally holding it in your own hands are two completely different experiences.

I want to see the sparkle for myself. ✨

I want to hold the piece, look closely at the details, see how it catches the light, try it on, and imagine how it will look when someone wears it as part of their own style.

Some pieces immediately make me smile.

Some surprise me.

And some simply aren’t the right fit for the collection.

That’s part of the process.

I don’t want Maricel Long Jewelry to become a collection of pieces that I chose simply because they looked beautiful in a supplier photograph. I want to continue learning about the jewelry I offer and, whenever possible, experience pieces personally before deciding what truly represents the style I’m trying to build.

Because to me, jewelry is very personal. 💎
