Rhea's Studio was founded in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and for nearly my whole life I emersed myself in the sights, sounds and smell of green things. I watched the seasons change in the forest around my home and in my life. Now, I find myself in a diversely new life in two ways; I am surrounded by the beauty of the desert, with completely new natural inspiration all around me. Secondly, I am

rebuilding myself from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in March of 2022 that was followed by a Stroke that June. Creating has been a significant part of my healing journey and I believe art is more significant now in my life than ever before. I still love to merge my passion of illustration with jewelry design and everything you see is still meticulously handmade by me with great love and attention to detail. The best part of this journey is that I feel more motivated than ever to create because I always donate 50% of my proceeds to charity. I want to help others and with your support, this allows me to still do that. I also love connecting with you and making new friends. Thank you for taking the time to read this. A little update on this page: I am in severe heart failure, no I have not been doing the best. BUT! What am I going to try to do you ask?! A 10k!!! Try-try-try is what I do! I have 60 DAYS to TRY to get my body strong enough to make it 6.2 miles, (I have permission from my doctor.) My goal is to raise $1,000 as well! All the money goes to and is tax deductible-all of your donations will go to the charity. I hope you will also work on your own health journey and I will post a page for you to help track your own progress! Here is the link to my funding page and I will also post it in the comments. Hello my dear friends-thank you all for your outpouring of love, prayers, positive thoughts & energy and incredible support for myself and Kev. It uplifts us both. It is extremely humbling. I will share more after I’ve had more time to rest- the worst, the good, the hopeful and my plan to willfully and stubbornly overcome what is within my ability. I will share that the doctors did find I have systolic heart failure and it is considered severe, it is not a good situation. However, here is what is more important to me right now-please read (it does take me a very long time to text right now and it is hard for me to talk please.)

Everyone-I love you, always. To All, to my Christians, to all people of faith, to all seeking, my belief in Jesus Christ sustains me and it is not difficult for me to trust in Him. I am O-K. In fact I am joyful in my pain, this is no lie. This is not me being delusional, I am not in denial, nor are my diseases and disabilities confusing me-

I continue to find that the greater my fight is in this life the easier it is for me to see the true burdens that exist, especially those I have laid upon myself. It is an amazing gift to have my worries, my faults and anything that is not my purpose revealed so that I may lay them down and let them go. The true test of my faith is when I struggle the most, I see that how I respond is who I am- the good and bad. I find myself grateful in my faith because I am trusting God and unburdened by what will happen. God does not hate me, to the contrary- Jesus loves me greater than any. God reminds me that He is in my corner, and I see all of you are as well. Additionally, I know that God is in control. It’s possible the outcome may not be in the manner or timing I might wish, but that is small, very small compared to what I have already gained and what I will yet gain eternally. You are loved & I love you, fiercely.

Prayers Requested! Rhea has been in the hospital with similar stroke symptoms as previous times. She is not able to walk as her left side has mostly shut down. She's been here since Friday night when she started experiencing a severe migraine and pain in her jaw/neck, arm and esophagus. The #1 concern right now is they discovered that her heart is functioning at only 20% (ejection fraction) which is very serious. Cardiologists are running tests to try to understand why and I will share updates as I am able to. We certainly appreciate your prayers as we know the Lord is our greatest physician. Rhea's Studio will be pausing orders indefinitely, and we'll be focusing on her treatments and recovery for however long it takes for her heart to get stronger. Rhea has been an impact on many of your lives and I know she appreciates the thoughts and prayers and she will get back to all of you when she is strong enough. I am getting sleep and staying healthy so I can help her through this...so don't worry about me. Let's focus our prayers on Rhea so she can recover and maybe figure out what is causing these problems! Thanks for understanding! - Kevin

My Story

Hello! My name is Rhea and I had lived in the Pacific Northwest my whole life until this past spring when my Husband and two loyal fur babies packed up and headed for Arizona. You will now find me soaking up the sun surrounded by piles sketches, watercolors, pens and more unfinished projects than I would like to admit. I also have a passion for running, teaching and helping our local and global community.

I have wandered through various occupations but the common thread in my life has been art and people. It's wonderful to be able to connect with all of you throughout this lifelong journey. All over the globe no less! Please contact me if you have any questions or would simply like to say hello!
