One of my favorite gemstones the emerald,
is regarded by many cultures to be enormously powerful throughout history.

It symbolized rebirth and fertility to the ancient Egyptians.
The Roman emperor Nero found the emerald to be calming to the eye as he watched gladiator fights through a large transparent emerald.

The green color of emerald is a symbol for new life and the promise of spring which is why it’s the birthstone for May .
