Fine Leathers Eco- Friendly Leather Recycled and Made from Fish Do snake skins smell like snakes? Does cowhide smell like beef? They smell just like regular leather.

This line of luxurious leather is made from recycled Fish skins, that would normally be thrown out, but they were reused to make exotic hides like you've never seen before. There are over 50 variations of vegetable tanned colors and textures, ranging from a light suede, to a highly glazed variety. Most people do not know that Fish can be used in the leather process, and the first question that goe

s through their minds is, "does it smell like fish?" The answer is, "No". Even better than cow leather, is that it has the beautiful scaly skin that creates this beautiful and unique texture. Whenever someone gets a chance to hold these luxurious textures in their hands, they immediately think of all the beautiful items they can make with them! Their face lights up and the wheels of their imagination take flight. From bookbinding, journals, cuffs, jewelry, ipad cases, clutches, heels, frames, and so much more. I hope you get that chance, too. My Story:
Why does a native L.A. girl own a warehouse full of Fish Leather, you ask? Good question! The simple answer is that my father has unique taste. He has an eye for high quality items, so when the opportunity came his way, he bought the remaining fish skins of a cowboy boot company that was closing. That's where I stepped in and being the crafty girl that I am, decided to try my hand at selling them on my favorite site, Etsy!
