Life As An Artist: Stumble and fall but get back up! My apologies for going dark after Saturday posts. I wasn’t feeling great after a wee tumble I had Saturday morning. I felt fine and didn’t think I required medical attention however as the weekend progressed I felt worse. My diagnosis is a concussion. I’m on 72 hours of rest. No screen time, over stimulation and 2 week soft diet. I’m going to try and behave so I won’t be making too many posts until I get released from provider.
I am thankful for the visits with everyone. I hope y’all had an awesome weekend.

Be back soon,
Janie

Life As An Artist: It’s a glorious day when one gets to work with a gorgeous stone. We needed more turquoise so I cut into a piece close to 2 pounds. I broke it down to large pieces than slabs. Tomorrow they will become small mosaic pieces. Found this beauty at store. Thank you Marty and Josh for finding this for us.

Life As An Artist: Deadline seems to make me more productive. Mom needs more color variation to her mosaic so I cut some Minnesota pipestone. It’s almost time to replace my mask. Safety first people. It’s important to wear your safety gear.

Working hard to be ready for Santa Fe Indian Market. Come see us at PAL N 253.

Life As An Artist: It is great to see progress when it takes weeks of prep work. Mom and I have been busy getting inventory ready for Santa Fe Indian Market in August.
I’ve also been working on a new online store. I’m trying out Shopify. I’ve made more progress than with Squarespace. Wish me luck that I can have it published before August. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Life As An Artist: I’m in my happy place. Creating in my studio. Today was a great day. We celebrated my brother’s birthday. I am so blessed to have him. Today I finished the companion to my cat hair stick; it’s a small buck. These were meant to be inventory for my September show in Texas. Hmmm, or should I offer them online?

Life As An Artist: Sometimes you have to give into whimsy. I’ve been playing with this idea for a long time. Decided to try my hand at a different hair stick. The one and only cat style.

Life As An Artist: Okay, back to the grind. Time to restock my hair accessories because Indianapolis cleaned me out. Thanks for loving my stuff, Indy. First things first, gotta engrave my trademark. Now, where's my prep surface for mosaic work. Let the magic begin.
