I have a thing for the crescent moon.

The full moon is stunning, obviously. But the crescent has always been my favorite... that slim sliver of light just does something to me.

These four pieces just went live in the shop. Each one handcrafted in ceramic clay, kiln fired, and hung with leather, brass, stone, or crystal. Each one is one of a kind.

None of them will be made again. Not like this.

In a world of mass production... these are the alternative.

I stopped for a latte on an ordinary Tuesday after yoga.

Walking back to her Jeep she noticed two blackberry leaves growing together...|
Shaped exactly like butterfly wings.

I rushed home.

What came out of the kiln wasn't just a pendant.

It was Mamacita... who loved butterflies her whole life.

The Wild Metamorphosis and Wild Journey pendants were born from that moment. Pressed from real blackberry leaves.
Every vein.
Every edge.
Every wild imperfect detail ... preserved in bronze and copper.

Named as reminders of life. Of transformation. Of the people who shaped us.

This coming Friday marks one year since we lost her.

From leaf to silver... this is how it begins. 🍃

Every Sterling Silver Ginkgo Leaf Necklace starts here. Real ginkgo leaves pressed into handmade silicone molds. Then silver clay pressed in by hand... shaped and left to dry.

This stage is called greenstate. The clay is dry but not yet fired. Still fragile. Still becoming.

Then it goes into the kiln. What comes out is solid sterling silver... every vein, every edge of that original leaf preserved forever.

This is what handcrafted actually means.

She saw it online and knew immediately.

Sherry has a ginkgo tree in her front yard. She photographs it throughout the year... every season, every change.

When she found this pendant she wrote:
"A perfect rendering of one of the ginkgo leaves in silver. I knew I wanted it. It's a wearable reminder of my connection to nature, and my home. This artist's work is infused with love and a keen eye for details."

That last line stayed with me.

This pendant starts with a real ginkgo leaf I found in Carmel. I press it into a silicone mold... then press silver clay in by hand. The leaf's texture rises up off the surface. Every vein preserved forever. Even the bail is made from the stem.

No two are exactly alike. Because no two leaves are.

Handmade turquoise patina brass spiral dangle earrings, made for the light that’s just ahead.

These asymmetrical statement earrings are crafted from solid brass with a hand-applied turquoise patina finish, finished with gold-filled ear wires for lightweight wear.

The spiral symbolizes growth and evolution, returning to yourself, but never in the same way twice.

Each pair is intentionally asymmetrical. I love the raw juxtaposition… the perfectly imperfect imbalance that feels alive.

These are handmade artistic earrings for the woman who doesn’t dress to match.
She dresses to express.

From the Studio

Some pieces refuse to wait.

I found these brass beads at the Tucson Gem Show, surrounded by thousands of beautiful possibilities. I didn’t have a plan yet. I just knew they belonged in my studio.

The morning of my Valentine’s show at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, I woke up thinking about them. I just couldn’t ignore it. 🔅

I sat down and made these, just hours before the event.

They ended up being the second treasure claimed that day.

Was it simply that they were beautiful? Or was it the energy I poured into them, that excitement and intent made tangible? Or both? 🩶

I’ll never know for certain. But I do know I’m so glad they found their home so quickly. Something I always appreciate and never take doe granted.

This was the beginning.

Handcrafted in my Santa Cruz Mountains studio using brass, patina brass, and 14k gold filled ear wires.

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, but around here, we’re celebrating slow fashion and the art of intentional gifting. Whether you’re treating your bestie for Galentine’s or finding a little something special for your own evening out, I’d love to see you in person.
