We did a long three day weekend in Siloam Springs. We are there for the dog patch festival, which was fantastic. So many people showed up. It’s such such a good time. We always love meeting new customers, seeing returning customers and meeting new vendors. Of course it being an outdoor show and us being in Northwest Arkansas. We had to deal with a lot of weather. We set up our tent on Thursday around noon and we’re called back around 4 o’clock to retrieve our tent which had blown a few spots over and destroyed some of our displays. After adding another 80 pounds to the tent, we were able to secured it to the ground and it was able to withstand the harsh wind and rain that hit later that night. Some other people weren’t so lucky. The next day, quite a few tents were destroyed. I feel for those vendors. Friday was sunny and beautiful. Saturday was amazing until about 6 o’clock when it started to storm. Those are the pictures that you see. Around 6:30. The sun came back out and we continue to sell for a little bit before another wave of rain came through. Sunday ended up being absolutely hot gorgeous. In the afternoon after church crowds came out we made some good sales.
I would have to say this was a very good show. To those who are thinking about becoming vendors, I have this to say. Even your good shows are gonna have the possibility of some bad things happening. Because of the weather from insane heat to rain and wind. I am burnt out today. But that’s how it goes sometimes.
