Antique Show, Spring and Fall, The Baltimore Summer Antique Show and the Miami National and the Original Miami Beach Antique Shows. My wife Natalia and I are the owners of Berry & Co. For over 20 years we have continued a business started by my grandfather, Charles E Berry Sr. over a hundred years ago in Washington D. He began as a jeweler’s apprentice for the prestigious firm of Galt Brothers in 1887, working with that firm until he started the partnership of Shaw & Berry in 1899, establishing their business on the corner of 11th and F streets. Shaw retired and the partnership of Berry & Whitmore began, soon to become one of the leading jewelry firms in the City. Whitmore retired and the firm became Berry & Co., the name which we proudly carry today. My grandfather carried a wide range of quality items and served many clients throughout Washington D. including Marjorie Meriwether Post and the White House. He proudly marked the silver he sold with his company name. Many of the pieces still grace the collections of silver lovers throughout the country. He refused to carry inferior goods or costume jewelry and, as a result, the coming depression forced Berry & Co. to close its doors in 1931. I am happy to say that the old Berry & Whitmore building as it is known today, has undergone a complete renovation and stands as a reminder of our companies past. The building is listed on the National Historic Registry. For the past 20 years we have carried on a portion of my grandfather’s business by continuing to provide our customers with quality antique silver and silver related products and services. We hope to be able to add you to our growing list of satisfied clientele. The logo adopted by Berry & Co. was that of a stylized Sphinx and their store motto was: “Odd Things Not Found Elsewhere”. We have chosen to keep both the logo and motto of my grandfathers business and carry on as he would have wished. . We display our silver at The Baltimore Summer Antique Show, Marburger Farm, Roundtop Texas (twice a year), The Miami National Antique Show and The Original Miami Beach Antique Show. See our show schedule for details. We also have a large selection of silver available in our two shops on Ruby Lane. All of our silver comes with an unconditional guaranty of authenticity and complete satisfaction.
