IWDY jewelry is focused on organic statement jewelry using Guinean traditional Fabrics, to spread cultural and traditional awareness of Guinea 🇬🇳. We used Gara fabric to achieve this set as well, we added some gold jewelry pieces to enhance the pieces.

IWDY jewelry is focused on statement jewelry using Guinean traditional Fabrics, to spread cultural and traditional awareness of Guinea 🇬🇳. This particular piece is made with the KENDILI fabric navy blue and white in color. Note that KENDILI fabrics comes in many colors and designs belonging to the Maritime Guinea region particularly to the Soso tribe. We also used Cowries shell that has deeper cultural meaning contrary to the only sinister belief of Cowries. Cowrie shells hold deep cultural meaning, symbolizing wealth, prosperity, protection, and fertility in many African societies and their diasporas. They have historically been used as a form of currency, status symbol, and protective amulet in religious and spiritual practices, with their use connected to feminine power and abundance.
We also used the Elephant 🐘 head pendant that symbolizes the Guinea 🇬🇳 National Animal 🐘.
