Came back inspired after a quick trip to Joshua Tree over the weekend. I’ve struggled to create lately with all that’s going on, but somehow the desert puts things in perspective when you’re surrounded by unique art, beautiful landscapes and good people. Welp, this isn’t exactly how I expected the new year to begin. Due to circumstances that are outside of my control, the brick-and-mortar location of Jax Atelier on Adams Ave will be closing, and the last day in the space will be on Saturday, January 17th.

To be clear, my business is not closing. I’ve been a professional artist for 25 years, and I started Jax Atelier in 2018 to bring all of my work, with a focus on jewelry, under one brand. The only change at the moment is that the physical storefront will be on hold until I secure a new space for the shop.

In the meantime, you can shop online at jaxatelier.com, sign up for my newsletter on the website, and follow along on Instagram at for day-to-day updates. The shop will be open with normal hours Thurs-Sat, 11am-6pm through Jan. 17th.

I’m grateful beyond words for the love and support from my partner , my family and friends, this amazing community, and for giving me the opportunity to sublease a little space for my first retail shop. This is merely a bump in the road and it’s not in my nature to give up. The dream will continue. Onward and upward! Stay tuned for what’s next!
