Errant Handcrafting of different kind of Jewelery with precious raw Stones and metals. The name of the energies are called Nahuales. Ref.

In the sacred Mayan Calendar, there exists twenty energies of which ten are cosmic and ten are telluric. The Nahuales represent different qualities and characteristics as analogies to describe the movement of cosmic energy. The Nahuatl Batz is one of the first energies that represents the beginning of the universe, when the creator and former of everything threw the string of time into space and i

t began to loop and begin an infinite spiral. The energy Batz within this analogy represents the beginning, the creation, the creativity, and the art The artisan is the one that continued in the footsteps of his first ancestors. The totem o animal is that which represents the energy of the monkey. This energy is related to that of the first divine inhabitants of our time. Jun Batz and Jun Chowen, twins were transformed into monkeys as punishment from the gods for their egocentric behavior and for lack of appreciation of the creative gifts they had been given. Popol WuJ, The book of Mayan Mythology

Manos de Mano( Hands of the monkey) is the name and the platform to showcase the art that I have been making during my process of learning as an artisan.

A quick look into the sand casting process.

I’ll be teaching this technique this Friday, guiding you through the full process: creating a model, packing it in sand, casting the metal, and finishing the piece so it’s ready to wear.

If you’ve been curious about this process, I’d be happy to have you in the class.

A few spots still available, DM me for details

This Friday I’m opening up an another small sand casting workshop in the studio.

It’s a hands-on session where you’ll make your own ring from scratch, in wax and finishing in metal.

I’m keeping it very small (max 4 people), so it feels more like a guided, intimate experience.

If you’ve been curious about the process, this is a good moment to try it.

DM me if you have any questions or book your spot online in the link on my bio.

New pieces, handmade in the studio 💘
Just in time for Valentine’s.

This batch includes stud versions of Smile Now / Cry Later, inspired by the Chicano culture that surrounds me here in Barrio Logan, plus a few returning designs like the Las Manitas (Frida Kahlo–inspired), which I first made back in 2016 and am now bringing back in a new run.

For now, these pieces are available directly through me,via DM or in person. I’ll be at the studio Saturday and Sunday if you’d like to stop by and pick something up while supplies last.

They’ll be added to the website later, but this is the first chance to get them.

Last sand casting workshop in the studio.

We started from wax, carving and building chunky ring designs, playing with form and weight. One piece was even shaped directly with a torch to give it a more organic feel.

From there, we made the sand molds, melted the metal, and poured it, always the most exciting moment. Watching a piece go from an idea to solid metal never gets old.

Everyone left with a ring they made by hand, and I’m always grateful to share this process.

More workshops are coming. If you’re interested in joining a future class, send me a DM and I’ll add you to the list.

Last-minute opening for this Friday

I’m hosting a small, semi-private sand casting workshop this Friday from 11am–4pm at my studio in Barrio Logan, and I have room for one or two more people.

You’ll create a ring from scratch, starting with wax, then learning the sand casting process to turn it into bronze.

Bronze is included. There’s also an option to upgrade to silver.

Cost: $250
No experience needed.

If this sounds like something you’ve been curious about, send me a DM today and I’ll share the details.

A client walked into my studio with a copper electroformed ring that had seen better days. It wasn’t my work, but she asked if I could bring it back to life. I offered her something different, something lasting.

Instead of re-electroforming it, I cast the entire ring in solid sterling silver using the sand casting method. I built a custom bezel cup and re-set the malachite stone, one of the most stunning deep green stones out there (and the one used in the World Cup trophy!). The result: a stronger, more permanent version of her beloved ring, now ready to stand the test of time.

This is the kind of transformation sand casting makes possible. If you’re curious to learn the process, there’s still time to join my next workshop this Friday, June 27. We’ll shape wax, pour molten metal, and turn raw materials into something you can wear and keep.

It all starts with a piece of wax.
Before metal, before fire, there’s wax.
In sand casting, you shape your idea by carving, melting, or building up wax to form your design. It’s a fluid, hands-on process that allows you to experiment, play, and create something truly personal.

This moment shows one of our students adding melted wax to her ring model a small detail in a bigger vision.

Join our next workshop June 27.

Three rings, three makers, one fun afternoon. The first sand casting workshop at the studio was small, intimate, and full of good energy. An afternoon of fire, silver, and creativity🔥✨

Watching .art, and bring a ring to life from start to finish was a reminder of why I love this process so much.

Here’s a quick glimpse, more soon.
Thinking of running another one later this month… if you’re curious, send me a DM or join the interest list via link in bio.

After the pour, there’s still work to do. Once the metal cools, I cut away the sprue, grind, sand, and polish, slowly revealing the final piece. Sometimes I choose to smooth things out, but most of the time, I leave behind the texture left by the sand. That texture is what I love most. It’s like a fingerprint from the casting, unique to each ring, impossible to repeat.

This new piece is called Relic. Made from sterling silver, cast in sand from a hand-carved wax model. It’s now available to order through my site.

And if you’ve been following along this week and feel curious to try it yourself, I still have a couple of spots open in my next sand casting workshop on May 30. You’ll go from wax to fire to metal just like this.

Link in bio to sign up or order your own Relic.
