Ninth House Collection combines my love of art, vintage materials, and jewelry into one-of-a-kind and limited edition designs inspired by my Texas roots, Art Nouveau & Art Deco design, and boho chic style. A mixture of antique, vintage, and new hardware components are used in my leather goods, along with natural, earthy elements like stone and bone. My metalwork incorporates sterling silver and jeweler's brass with high-quality stones. My mission is to create distinctive, wearable art for people who value authentic handcrafted accessories that last a lifetime and to support other small businesses through my work. The Ninth House in astrology is the domain of travel, freedom, spirituality, and the search for meaning and purpose. It plays big role in my own natal chart. Through this artisanal voyage, I have discovered a path that allows me to connect creatively with the universe, nature, and people all over the world. I am thankful to have a passion I can share with others that keeps my mind and hands from being idle. I channel lots of positive energy, love, and time into each and every piece. When I send out my work, I'm sending a piece of myself along with it. It is so exciting and rewarding to have people make my creations a part of their personal style.

Today marks 12 years with Sadie! I had no idea what I was doing with a puppy when I brought her home from the shelter, and the first night I thought that I needed to play with her and give her treats each time she woke up in the middle of the night 😂. It didn’t take long for me to figure out that wasn’t how you do it. She’s managed to outlive all my house plants (thankfully I’m better with dogs than gardening!) and has the loyalty of a German Shepherd with the personality of a Husky. Her motto is: I wanna be close to you, but not TOO close. She may not be a big cuddle bug, but she’s the bestest girl and I hope we have many more years together! 🐕

On another note, I’ve been busy working on orders in the studio the past couple of months, but will be sharing some new stuff soon, so stay tuned! 💛 ✨

This year, I’m making progress on getting my s**t together, and I know so many of you can relate - juggling all the things at once. Just thinking about balancing my FT job, jewelry business, and home can be overwhelming. And I don’t even have kids in the mix (does my dog count? 😆). Seriously, moms, you’re miracle workers, and I have no idea how you do it all!

Last year, I started using a few tools that have truly been game-changers in helping me stay focused and manage my time better.

✨ Google Calendar (which syncs with Apple Calendar) is what I use to manage appointments and block out time for important tasks. This helps me prioritize and focus my time.

✨ I use Notion to pretty much manage my whole business. I use it for task lists, social media planning (which I try to follow, but let’s be honest, life happens), goal-tracking, and so much more.

I’ve tried to go all digital, but realized I still need to write things down to keep them front and center in my mind. I struggled with planners and never stuck with them because they often felt repetitive alongside my digital tools. But just in time for 2025, I found the perfect planner by Willow Creek Press at Half Price Books! It’s 8 ½” x 11”, which means plenty of space for my large, messy handwriting 😆. It has everything I need, including weekly priority and gratitude lists. Sometimes the simplest changes make the biggest difference!

✨Finally, one of my favorite recent finds is Erasable Pens! Talk about amazing. They allow me to color code and keep my planner looking neat.

If you’re looking for ways to stay organized and maintain your sanity, I hope some of these tools help. The most important thing is finding and sticking with what works for you.

2024 was probably the hardest year of my life. This year brought cancer, depression, and hospitalization of people close to me, my own chronic illness at times felt unbearable, and even my poor dog had 3 surgeries and spent the better part of the year wearing the cone. I struggled…a lot. While I didn’t reach many of the goals I set out, I did get through it, and that in itself is a huge accomplishment!

Making jewelry literally kept me going this year. I also set out on a path of growth. I’ve listened to over half a dozen audiobooks in the past couple of months to help with mindset and spirituality. I’m also working on a solid plan for my jewelry business next year and setting some big goals!

So I just want to say THANK YOU for being here with me in this space. It means more to me than you know and I hope my work brings joy to you! Here’s to a Happy New Year! ✨

PS: Sadie turned 12ish this weekend! 🐶 We rescued her when she was about 3 months old, and 11/28 was the estimated birthdate on her shelter card. Through all her health challenges over the years (3 surgeries this year alone!) I am so grateful she is still by my side and has the heart and soul of a puppy.

Making dozens of little bezels today. Bezel making is probably the least exciting part of the process, but it’s one of the most important. The bezel holds the stone in the setting, and if the fit isn’t just right, the stone can get loose and fall out. So it’s really one of the most important steps! I’ve also found it to be very therapeutic as it helps calm my mind since I tend to zone out while doing it in almost a meditative state, which isn’t easy for me to do with an internal narrator that’s always “talking”. 😂
