September means I can officially decorate for fall. 🍂 even if it’s still 100 degrees out. 😅

My sister-in-law inspired me to make these napkins for our home, and they might be one of my favorite little additions yet. We eat dinner together at our big dining table almost every night, so why shouldn’t that everyday ritual feel a little special?

And can we please normalize the idea that table scapes, napkin rings, embroidered linens, and the “fancy things” aren’t just for Thanksgiving?! There are no rules saying you have to save them for a holiday or special occasion.

I found these beautiful green-trimmed napkins at Hobby Lobby and added a simple embroidered “J” for our family. They coordinate perfectly with the vintage-modern colors throughout our home, and somehow make an ordinary Tuesday night dinner feel just a little more extra. (Plus, reusable cloth napkins are a much more sustainable option than reaching for disposable ones every day.)

So consider this your reminder to use the fancy things.
Light the candle. Set the table. Use the pretty glasses. Put out the good napkins.

Why do we wait for a special occasion to make things feel special? Make the ordinary feel a little extraordinary. Do it now. 🤎🍂

Kind of chic to make custom shirts for a family weekend. 🤭✨

But even more fun when you get to make them completely from scratch.

From custom embroidery on the front to designing the print on the back myself, I loved getting to create something just for our Cousins Weekend—and then seeing my boys actually wearing them made it even better. 🥹

This past weekend was so much fun. There’s something really special about getting away together, watching our families grow, seeing the kids make memories, and knowing these weekends are going to look a little different every year.

And obviously… now that we have custom shirts, I think they’re officially part of the tradition. 🤍 Already looking forward to designing next year’s.

Custom embroidery + custom designs, made by me for the people I love. Doesn’t get much better than that.
