With everything that’s going on with COVID-19 and businesses closing, the access to materials needed to create my diaper cakes has been impacted. For this reason, the safety of my family, and an effort to prevent the spread of the virus, today is the last day I’ll be accepting orders until further notice.

I am praying for everyone as we try to navigate life during this pandemic. I know everyone’s lives are being impacted in different ways and I’m sending love and light out to all of you.

Guys, we’re experiencing something as a society that we’ve never experienced before! Everyone is in a panic and it’s pure chaos! But through all this, the gift and joy that comes with bringing a baby into this world continues.

When the panic really started to amp up and the diapers started flying off the shelves, I considered putting my diaper cake business on hold until the dust settled. But that same day, I got an order from a sweet woman who was expecting her 2nd grandchild since her first was born 8 years ago. I couldn’t NOT accept her order! And I took that as a sign.

As long as I can find diapers and other materials to make my diaper cakes, I will continue to accept orders! I had to remind myself that babies are still being celebrated and COVID-19 can’t steal that joy.

I’m sending a huge THANK YOU to all of you for continuing to support small businesses like Polished Diaper Cake. I also thank you for continuing to find ways to put a smile on expecting mommies’ faces as they try to plan and navigate through this crisis and welcome their new bundle.

Is it Friday yet? My week is already exhausting! Sleep is much needed but who can sleep when there are diaper cakes to be made?!?! I’m so thankful I found this hobby. Making these beauties and expressing through art and design has never felt so great. The passion to create is inevitable. But it’s even more pleasing knowing that my diaper cakes make new mommies smile. 💗💗

Happy Monday! This weekend was definitely as productive as I planned for it to be which is very refreshing given at least 1 person has been sick in our household every week for the past 2 months! From fulfilling a diaper cake order to cleaning to posting a new listing in my Etsy shop, I am exhausted but pleased! My biggest accomplishment this weekend, however, was completing most of my new website! There was a lot of trial and error and a lot of starting over. Lots of learning a new platform and a little more money spent than I planned, but it’s coming together! A couple more additions and I’m ready to launch!

I hope you all have an amazing week and if you know any babies coming, my diaper cakes will make the mommies smile so think of Polished Diaper Cake! 😊
