Who never ate casseroles growing up⁉️🖐
We never did...my dad was a meat and potatoes kind of guy....and not mixed together in one dish😁

My parents did expand their food choices later in life to include spaghetti, tacos, & pizza....butbthat was not a meal for me growing up‼️

And 1 can of veggies woyld serve our entire family of 5, where as now my kids each eat a can at a meal!🤦‍♀️

Anyways.....what menu items were your regulars growing up?

The start of my little urban homestead garden.
Tomatoes and watermelon are on the menu!🍉🍅
Of course marigolds are must to help pests stay away!🪰
And my moss rose are just for pretty therapy!💐 🩷
Of course mint and catnip are must!🌱🐈‍⬛

Over they years, I've realized I dream of lofty gardens, an abundance of produce, and plenty of putting up jars of that yummy goodness & sharing it with others.

I've also discovered, that I'm currently not set up for those huge aspirations, so I've decided to create on a smaller scale, the things we will eat regularly, without much waste and still bring me an abundance of joy.

What small steps can you do to create abundant joy in your life?

Antique recipe box....getting all cleaned up!

◇How to remove sticky adhesive labels and such.
• A couple of drops of oil (olive oil, essential oil, etc), i used lemon essential oil on this
• Rub gently to allow oil to soak into adhesive label, apply more oil if needed.
• Rub till adhesive is lifted away, wipe with cloth, clean as normal

Time is coming where there will bebonly 2 of us residing in my home, so I've been thinking a lot lately of a deep clean, decluttering, and just clearing the energy. For me this happens in many ways:)

I think i will start with a kitchen deep clean!
Stayed tuned for June to be going through storage and deep cleaning some places! Till then just making some basic check lists of things i want to make sure i do, timelines to complete tasks, and i am filling a bag of stuff to purge!
