There’s a heat advisory out, so what better time to make snowman and other winter themed earrings, right? We’re getting ready for our big art market in December, so Jane is making lots of cute snowmen, candy cane, and Christmas tree earrings. They’re perfect for someone who wants a cute bit of winter flair that’s handmade and lightweight. We’ll have these done soon!

I haven’t worked with the Persian weave for a little while, so I’ve put together some earrings today! They’re all stainless steel with either bronze or copper. I’ll have them listed on the website soon. This weave is so satisfying when it’s done because the rings are tight and a simply lovely texture.

I’ve wanted to do a box weave earring for a long time, because I like making box weave bracelets and enjoy offering matching sets. However, the box weave doesn’t work well without some weight at the end. Now that I’m making my own jump rings I’ve got the perfect size to finish off the earring and give it a lovely, unified finished. I’ll have more of these made up soon!

Tonight I took a bunch of product photos so I can list the new earrings I’ve made on our website. I wanted to share the process because it’s something I’ve been practicing for years and I keep finding places for improvement. I genuinely enjoy doing this because I love dedicated cameras and there’s a joy in taking effective glamour shots of the jewelry I’ve made. These pieces, and more, will be listed later this week. I hope you like them!

Tonight I finished off these earrings with my handmade stainless steel earwires and it occurred to me I’d made a lot of progress over the last several weeks. Yes, these are only ten pairs of earrings, but they’re the first earrings where I have made every single bit of them. I’m a little proud of myself for starting off like this and I’m going to keep working!

Over the past weekend I made 10 pairs of stainless steel earwires for my chainmail earrings. I wanted to share the process because I really enjoyed doing this. I know I can buy findings, but I do take a lot of pleasure in making my own earwires because it gives my pieces that extra handmade touch.

Today is component production day! I’ve bought a lot of beads that I want to use in a Romanov weave set, so I need lots and lots of jump rings. My goal is to have a collection listed by the end of the month. To do that, I need parts. Lots and lots of parts.
