Happy 10 years to The J. Cater Shop!!! A little behind schedule, but close enough. It's actually insane I've been doing this thing for this long. For everyone that's been hanging around and supporting what I do, you are amazing and I'd def wouldn't have made it without you.

Since the move and even before, I've been taking a step back and now I'm reevaluating from the businessy side of things. I'm still sticking around, but I may shift my focus into more upcycling and mixed media art and dioramas, since that's what I truly enjoy the most. I'll still make jewelry and still have the shop going and all that, just maybe waaaay less jewelry. Who knows? I've been too busy with trying to settle into a new life here in Rochester and haven't been involved in local events as much as I wish I had time for, so I'm not sure how my vibes mesh, but hoping to add my shows when I can.

Anyway... thanks again to all of you for following along and to all my people in Tennessee, I miss the hell out of you 🖤
I'll try to remember to post my creations... I don't know if I'm made for the way social media works these days so the algorithm probs doesn't work in my favor 😆

Hold onto your butts. The J.Cater Shop is bringing dinosaurs (and JEWELRY!) to the Strathallan 🦖

Jen of The J. Cater Shop creates fabric button jewelry, a variety of colorful accessories, pins, one-of-a-kind upcycled pieces alongside tiny gardens, and dinosaur dioramas.

Founded in 2016 and recently relocated from Nashville to Rochester, The J. Cater Shop is a queer-owned business focused on inclusivity and creating pieces that reflect community, social awareness, and the idea that there should be something available for everyone.

And yes, if you’re lucky, you may even leave with a tiny dinosaur wearing a knit hat.

You can shop The J. Cater Shop during the Strathallan Summer Sip & Shop on Saturday, July 12th from 12–5 PM in the City View Ballroom at The Strathallan Rochester Hotel & Spa.

Admission is free, and guests can browse more than 20 local artisans while enjoying beauty services, plants, charcuterie snacks, sweets, fair-style lemonade, dirty sodas, cocktails, and a chance to check out the newly renovated Strathallan and Char Steak & Lounge.

Little late, but not really because Pride is All Day, Everyday. And thankfully in Rochester it's June and July (and every other month... come see)
