Working on some new skills over here. It’s always humbling learning a new process, in this case for me, casting. More specifically, I learned some wax carving, made a pendant, then a silicone mold. Most recently, i learned how to inject wax into the mold so I can try to make a small series of dragon pendants….
It’s so much harder than you would think! Every wax injection has to be cleaned and modified so it will cast the way you want it. I made 16 wax injection pieces, and cleaned them up, and finally attached them to make a sprue tree, which is what you see in the pics/video.
I won’t be casting this until early April; fingers crossed it will come out amazing and I will have 16 baby dragon claw pendants to offer the world….
