Some life news: I am planning to step back from Hanusa Design in the coming months. It has been a wonderful ride over the past nine years: so much learning, growing, and meeting people from all around the world who appreciated the jewelry I designed. At the same time, as I start my sabbatical year and enter into a crossroads, I want to focus my attention in new directions.

If there is someone out there who is particularly interested in learning about the mathematical jewelry business and wants to work with/own an established brand, I will consider partnerships or sales. Otherwise, I intend to wind down the retail part of my business by the end of 2026. Reach out to chris hanusadesign com if you want to start a conversation about this or if you would like to discuss mathematical retail entrepreneurship.

I will be attending MAA Math Fest in Boston in early August 2026 with my inventory for people who want to peruse the stock I have on hand. Afterwards I will be cataloging the remaining inventory on hanusadesign.com and set up a going out-of-business sale for whatever remains.

At the current time I still plan to supply retail clients (museums and independent shops) with wholesale items on demand.

On to new adventures!

Hanusa Design mathematical jewelry is excited to share our collaboration with the gift shop at the New York Hall of Science (), an amazing science museum located right here in Queens, NY. As of Fall 2025, Hanusa Design owner Christopher Hanusa () is featured as a local artist in the shop!

There is now a wide selection of Hanusa Design jewelry on sale in the nysci Science Shop. Each piece has a mathematical significance, was 3D printed in nylon, and dyed in bright colors. If you're not nearby, you can shop online at shop.nysci.org.

Many museum shops are run by a giant conglomerate, but not the nysci Science Shop! Through this collaboration I've worked directly with Sanjay Lakhani, the retail manager, who curates his store with hand-picked gift ideas. You should visit the museum and then stop by the store to see the wide selection.
