Now this is an incredible makeover. And the kicker, no paint was added!
This trunk is almost 200 years old. Gorgeous. Vintage. Antique. Everything!

Rather than trying to cover over the atrocious blue spray paint job of yesteryear, we stripped her down to her original finish.
The hardware cleaned up so beautifully. And the trunk itself is this gorgeous black. I considered, only briefly, to give the black a coat of paint a refresh. But that would have hidden all the history we just uncovered!
So instead, once she was all stripped and cleaned, then she just got a coat of Clear Wax. Buffed to a shine.

She’s incredible!

Vintage cedar chest makeover complete!

The owner has had this chest since high school, so it’s been a few years….she just needed a lil makeover to give her a boost.

Paint: Chalky Paint in Swiss Coffee. Several coats. And distressed.
Finish: Matte Clear Spray. Several thin coats.
Hardware: a mixture from and Amazon. Casters also from Amazon.

Look at this!!! I need more than 10 pictures to show her off!!

This beauty has been transformed. Who knew all this was under all that. And did you see the little secret compartment that opens at the top!?! I removed some of the shelves from the cabinet, this gives so much more space for storing things. 3 good sized drawers. This cabinet is made by Stanley, solid wood, heavy as can be, and so durable.

Paint: Chalky Finish in Swiss Coffee. She needed a lot of coats. A lot. Slightly distressed. Just enough that when you accidentally ding the corners, it will just add to her beauty.
Finish: Matte Finish.
Hardware: The cutest oversized black casters (with foot locks) from Amazon. And the black k***s and pulls (even on the sides!) from .

This cabinet could be perfect for a kitchen or dining area. As extra storage in an office or family room. Even in a walk in closet. So many options!

Black distressed apothecary table.

This table got some new casters. New hardware. New paint. And a lil distressing.

Paint: Chalk Paint in Noir Intense. A deep rich black.
Finish: Matte Clear. Dry brushed to add texture.

This little cutie of a table is a perfect side table, or even a mini coffee table. And the casters make it easy to move from room to room.

Ooooh this one’s gonna be good!

Got this beauty from .realestate, she had a client who wanted it gone, and I’m a sucker for a project piece.

This furniture is by Stanley, it’s sooooo heavy, solid wood. And it even has a secret compartment at the top!
We definitely need to get rid of that gold leaf, I removed some of the overwhelming shelving inside the cabinet, adding some heavy duty casters (added stability on the base for these).
She’ll get a good cleaning. Patched all the holes from the dated handles. Those need an update for sure.

Paint will be Chalky Paint in Swiss Coffee. Still deciding hardware, but I’ve got a pretty good idea of what I want. Let’s see if the local stores can make my dreams a reality.

I was knee deep in the repair process when I realized I didn’t have any before pictures of this cute sofa table. Usually I’m so much better at that, but I was too excited to get going! Since the green dresser in my previous post turned out so stinkin cute, I decided this needed to be the same color.

Lots of repairs and glue and straightening this ole thang. She’s still got a few crooked parts, but she’s also a looker.

Paint: Chalky Paint in Osiris. The most beautiful shade of dark sage. Almost a light army green, but more feminine. Dry brushed for added texture and dimension.
Finish: Distressed on edges. Dry brushed with Matte Finish.
Hardware: cute lil cup pulls from Amazon. And the golden k**b from .
